Casablanca Invests 30 Million Dirhams in New Public Toilets and Green Spaces

Casablanca wants to install new public toilets. The municipal team led by Nabila Rmili has committed to definitively solving the problem in the coming months.
For this new project entrusted to the local development company "Casa Baia", the city has a budget of 30 million dirhams from the budget surplus of the SDL.
"This amount was returned to us, and we have decided to devote it to public toilets in Casablanca, and to green spaces," explained the mayor to the city’s elected representatives. However, the sites for the installation of these new infrastructures have not yet been defined.
During the session held on Friday, the mayor announced to the elected representatives that the city’s revenue in 2021 reached 3 billion and 425 million dirhams, or 98% of the forecasts. A performance that makes Casablanca the only city in Morocco to achieve financial autonomy. "We achieved a spending rate of 86% in 2021," she said proudly.
This session was also an opportunity for the municipal council to announce the recruitment in the coming days of 20 doctors and 10 architects, as well as another call for tenders to recruit 5 veterinarians for the Ain Sebâa zoo in Casablanca, whose opening had been announced for March 2022.
