Ezzalzouli has chosen to stay with Barça so as not to lose the trust of his coach, Xavi Hernandez, and above all, to retain his starting position in the Catalan team. The Moroccan winger had already informed the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), which had contacted him to join the national team, of his decision to remain for the moment at FC Barcelona, reports Mundo Deportivo.
