Automobile sales: the Moroccan market jumps more than 35% in 2025, driven by Dacia and Renault

The Moroccan automotive market continues its strong growth in 2025. Cumulative sales at the end of October recorded a strong increase, confirming the recovery of a sector driven by the diversity of the offer and the demand from individuals.

According to statistics from the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), 186,415 units were sold during the first ten months of the year. This figure represents an increase of 35.13% compared to the same period in 2024, when 137,953 vehicles had been sold.

This momentum was confirmed in October alone, with 19,561 units delivered, an increase of 30.38% year-on-year. The passenger car (VP) segment was the main driver of this monthly growth with 17,208 registrations (+32.65%), while light commercial vehicles (VUL) grew by 15.85%.

Dacia and Renault dominate the passenger car market

Over the entire year, the VP segment shows an increase of 34.5% (165,202 units). The sales ranking for October remains dominated by Dacia, which sold 4,065 vehicles, an increase of 42%. Renault maintains second place with 2,605 units, posting a notable increase of 59.52%, followed by Peugeot with 1,313 registrations (+23.06%).

The light commercial vehicle (VUL) segment is experiencing the strongest annual growth, with a 40.18% increase in cumulative sales (21,213 units). In October, the ranking of this segment is led by Fiat (425 units), followed by DFSK (271 units) and Renault (249 units). The overall market thus confirms its good health despite an uncertain international economic context.
