Ziyech’s Stoppage-Time Strike Secures Chelsea’s 1-0 Win Over Crystal Palace

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech scored a goal in stoppage time, thus giving Chelsea the victory against Crystal Palace (1-0), as part of the 26th matchday of the Premier League.
Hakim Ziyech reacts to the match between his club and Crystal Palace, which ended 1-0 in favor of the Blues. "No matter how [you win]. Of course, you want to play good football, but it doesn’t always go that way. It was a tough game, instead of a good game. There weren’t many chances, we only had a few chances. Of course, there was the goal that was disallowed, but scoring in the last minute gives you the best possible feeling," said the 28-year-old player.
"Ziyech’s first goal in the 75th minute was unfortunately disallowed, but he continued to believe in it, he had a good game and continued to try to score by taking risks," Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel said on BBC Match of the Day, thus saluting the perseverance of his protégé.
The Blues’ attacking midfielder has scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists in all competitions. He therefore believes he has had a better second season than his first at the club (6 goals, 4 assists). The former Ajax star thinks this is his best period at Chelsea so far. "In recent months, I’ve been in good shape and I enjoy playing football. I try to do my best and that’s the most important thing," he added.
