Young Moroccan-French Man Dies in Apparent Suicide in Tangier

On Monday, June 17, 2019, around 1 a.m., a young Moroccan living in France threw himself from the top of his apartment, located on the fifth floor of the building where he was residing in Tangier.
Born in 1997 in France, the young man’s name was Ayoub M, according to information provided by the police. He was unmarried and had no children.
The Civil Protection services, as well as the Judicial Police of Tangier and the Scientific and Technical Police, went to the scene of the tragedy. His body was taken to the morgue for the purposes of the autopsy. Meanwhile, an investigation has been opened by the police services to determine the circumstances of this case, as well as the reasons that led the deceased to commit suicide.
This is the 17th suicide case recorded in Tangier since the beginning of 2019. The city in northern Morocco is thus breaking the national record in the number of suicides.
