World Cup Spotlight: Angers’ Moroccan Stars Boufal and Ounahi Draw Transfer Interest

The World Cup serves as a showcase for Moroccan players to the point that their names are circulating on the tablets of many European clubs. Among them are Sofiane Boufal and Azzedine Ounahi, who could soon leave their club.
The officials of Angers SCO are already preparing for "all possible scenarios" if they were to part ways with two players like Sofiane Boufal and Azzedine Ounahi during the winter transfer window or next June.
Described as a player "full of talent", Ounahi, 22, would be on the radar of FC Barcelona. The club president says he is receiving calls about these two players. "You know well that we can never hold back a player who wants to leave," he added, expressing his "pride" in having two club players in a World Cup semi-finalist team.
According to Transfermarkt, the current value of Azzedine Ounahi, ranked 2nd best dribbler in Europe, is 3.5 million euros, and that of Sofiane Boufal is 8 million.
