A 46-year-old woman was arrested on Monday evening by the elements of the Agadir prefectural service. She would be involved in the recording and dissemination via social networks of a video sequence containing insulting and defamatory remarks against members of the Moroccan community residing abroad (MREs) and inciting hatred and discrimination.

This woman attacks the MREs with extremely violent remarks, accusing them of being at the origin of the spread of the coronavirus internationally.

The national security services, after becoming aware of the video, conducted investigations that allowed them to identify and arrest the person concerned at her home in Inzegane.

She was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the ins and outs of this case.
