The windshield of a Biarritz-Marrakech plane cracks mid-flight

The incident occurred on Saturday, November 29. The aircraft, a Boeing 738, was mid-flight when the cabin window cracked. The pilots immediately deployed the oxygen masks before announcing that they had to turn around to land. The company quickly designated two volunteer passengers in case of the need for evacuation, according to La Dépêche.

The landing was turbulent. One passenger recounted to Sud-Ouest having felt a "big boom" upon touching down, while another described the cabin crew as very stressed. As they exited the plane, the travelers were able to see the extent of the damage: the cockpit window had six to seven cracks.

The airline took care of the hotel expenses for the affected passengers. All passengers were reassigned to another flight the next day to be able to reach Morocco. For now, no element can explain the origin of this crack.
