Nightmare for passengers on a Ryanair flight to Morocco: diverted due to bad weather in Vatry

The aircraft, bound for Marrakech, was forced to divert to Luxembourg, as landing on the Marne runway was impossible. The passengers on board had to be taken care of and repatriated by bus to the Marne department. On the ground, the situation also became tense for the 152 passengers waiting to board the same aircraft to make the return journey.

The takeoff, initially scheduled for 10:15 a.m., was subject to multiple delays, causing impatience among users. According to a testimony, about fifty people expressed their discontent by refusing to leave the area located after customs, demanding that a solution be found quickly.

Faced with the impossibility of operating the flight from Vatry, a substitute logistics plan was put in place. The passengers were transported by road to Beauvais airport in the Oise. It was finally from this platform that their journey could resume, with a scheduled takeoff at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, putting an end to a day of uncertainty.
