Fog Forces Ryanair Flight to Divert, Stranding Passengers in Tours

The air traffic at Tours airport was once again disrupted by thick fog on Tuesday, February 4th. A Ryanair flight from Marrakech, with 167 passengers on board, was unable to land as planned in mid-morning and was diverted to Limoges airport.
The passengers finally reached Tours by bus, specially chartered for the occasion, with a significant delay on the originally scheduled time. This incident also has repercussions on the return flight to Marrakech, with 196 passengers remaining stranded in the boarding lounge in Tours awaiting a late departure.
The airport director, Mickaël Toma, confirmed to ici Touraine that the fog was the cause of this new disruption. This is the tenth flight diverted since the beginning of autumn, a figure that reflects the frequency of this problem. Faced with this situation, the airport management took care of the passengers by providing them with a snack. The takeoff to Marrakech was estimated around 3:30 p.m., subject to an improvement in weather conditions.
