Wife of Former Moroccan Soccer Star Breaks Silence on Fatal Rabat Accident

Wafaa Eddahri, the wife of former Moroccan international footballer Youssef Chippo, involved in a fatal road accident in Rabat last October, has broken her silence. In a video shared on social media, she recounts the circumstances of the tragedy that cost a young man his life.
Ms. Eddahri recounts that she was on her way to an appointment when she decided to stop at a service station on Mohammed VI Avenue. She asserts that she was driving at a moderate speed, aware of the presence of many schools and speed cameras on this axis.
As she was entering the service station, she claims she did not see the motorcycle circulating next to her. The side mirror of her car hit the motorcycle rider, who was then thrown against a parked car. The impact, of extreme violence, was fatal for the rider, a young soldier. The rear passenger, on the other hand, emerged unscathed.
Deeply marked by this tragedy, Ms. Eddahri confesses to having been "on the verge of losing her mind." "I was screaming and saying that I would rather die in his place," she testifies, adding that she had been followed abroad to overcome the trauma.
Prosecuted on provisional release after posting bail, Wafaa Eddahri will have to answer for her actions before the courts. The investigation will have to determine the exact circumstances of the accident and establish the responsibilities.
