West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd Rejects Saudi Club Offer, Commits to European Football

Although he is struggling in his club, West Ham, after his disappointing participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023), Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd does not think of leaving. He has just declined the offer of a Saudi club.
The profile of Nayef Aguerd appeals to the Saudi club Al-Fayha. It intends to attract him into its clutches, but the Moroccan international has asked his agent to postpone the offers from the Gulf, including that of Al-Fayha, for later. The reason given: the Atlas Lion wishes to continue playing in a European league as long as he is still able to play at a high level. Even if his adventure at West Ham were to end, he prefers a European offer to offers from the Arab Gulf leagues, in order to remain in Europe.
Since the return of the 27-year-old Moroccan player from the AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023, the Hammers have conceded 11 goals in three matches. Many supporters have not hesitated to point the finger at their defense and particularly the Atlas Lion. The English club’s officials are now ready to let him go at the end of the season, believes The Sun, adding that the English club plans to spend big on a central defender - and could profit from the Moroccan international.
