Atlético Madrid Eyes West Ham’s Moroccan Defender Nayef Aguerd in €23.5M Deal

Nayef Aguerd could bid farewell to West Ham this summer. Atlético Madrid would be willing to spend 23.5 million euros to secure the services of the Moroccan defender.
Atlético Madrid, Nayef Aguerd’s next destination? The Moroccan international would be on the radar of the Spanish club, believes The Sun. Atlético Madrid would have made an attractive offer of more than 20 million pounds, or around 23.5 million euros, to recruit the Moroccan defender from West Ham this summer.
Rennes, Nayef Aguerd’s previous club, would also be showing interest in him. The French club is determined to recover the Atlas Lion and could make an offer more interesting than that of Atlético, the publication informs, specifying that the Moroccan international is not interested in the latter proposal, preferring to explore new horizons.
Nayef Aguerd arrived at West Ham from Rennes for 30 million pounds in 2022. The Moroccan player has delivered remarkable performances in his first season, where he played 8 matches, contributing to the London club’s victory in the Europa Conference League final.
Aguerd has been less brilliant in the second season due to injuries and his participation with Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. The Moroccan defender has only played 21 matches the previous season. This season, he has scored four goals in 58 appearances. The Atlas Lion has only been a starter once for the last 11 matches of West Ham.
