West Ham’s Aguerd Nears Return After World Cup Injury Setback

Injured during the World Cup, Moroccan central defender Nayef Aguerd is back in training and could be lined up for West Ham’s upcoming matches.
West Ham faces Brentford in the Premier League this Friday, probably without the Moroccan defender. According to David Moyes, the team’s coach, Nayef Aguerd is in full rebuilding, even though he has recovered from his injury. "Nayef is still recovering from an illness that we are trying to help him overcome. He has had a few days of training, which is helping him, but he has lost a bit of weight since the World Cup, so we are trying to build him up."
For him, the Moroccan player is not yet ready. David Moyes does not intend to take unnecessary risks with him, even though the club desperately needs his potential because it is currently ranked 16th with 14 points, not far from the relegation zone.
