West Ham’s Moyes Fumes at Aguerd After Man City Defeat

David Moyes, the West Ham manager, is said to have expressed his dissatisfaction with Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd, following the Hammers’ defeat against Manchester City (1-3) on Saturday.
Manchester City came out on top of West Ham at the Hammers’ home ground on Saturday during the fifth round of the Premier League. While they were leading 1-0 at halftime, David Moyes’ protégés were less offensive in the second half. Upon returning from the locker room, Pep Guardiola’s men began to dominate the game to the point of equalizing in the 46th minute and increasing the score. The match ended in a defeat for West Ham (1-3).
After the match, David Moyes expressed his disappointment. "I was more disappointed with the second goal," he said on the West Ham website. "I thought it was poor, the second goal." Taking advantage of a defensive approximation by Nayef Aguerd, Bernado Silva scored in the 76th minute. The Moroccan international jumped much, much too early to try to clear a ball recovered in the box. The Hammers manager seems to hold the Atlas Lion responsible for the club’s defeat.
