West Ham’s Moroccan Defender Aguerd Undergoes Successful Ankle Surgery

A few months before the World Cup in Qatar, Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd underwent surgery after sustaining an ankle injury. In a statement, West Ham announced that the operation was a success.
Less to worry about for the West Ham central defender. The Moroccan player had been injured in the ankle on July 19, during the friendly match between West Ham and Glasgow Rangers. But fortunately, the surgical intervention was a success. He will have to start a rehabilitation program at the Rush Green training center with the Hammers’ medical staff to get back on his feet.
It should be recalled that the 26-year-old Moroccan player was transferred from Stade Rennais to West Ham this summer for 30 million euros. With this operation, the central defender will have to postpone his first steps in the English Premier League.
