To avoid a knife attack, a police inspector was forced to brandish his service weapon. The incident took place last Saturday in Salé.
The police intervention in the "Al Fath" neighborhood to arrest a 19-year-old repeat offender with a violent criminal record almost turned into a tragedy. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a statement, indicated that the young man fiercely resisted his arrest. This forced the inspector to draw his service weapon.
Once neutralized, the police were able to seize a knife, a small gas canister and psychotropic tablets. He was placed under medical supervision for self-mutilation at the time of his arrest.
