Off-Duty Casablanca Cop Thwarts Armed Robbery, Saves Woman’s Life

A police officer, serving at the Anfa security district in Casablanca, had to draw his weapon to neutralize three individuals who were stealing a woman’s handbag using a bladed weapon.
A sergeant, who was on his way home after the end of his night shift, intercepted the suspects who had stolen the handbag of an employee under threat, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. According to the same source, they fiercely resisted with the bladed weapon and tried to seize the policeman’s motorcycle.
Faced with this situation, the policeman was forced to draw his service weapon to neutralize the danger posed by the suspects, who managed to escape, the DGSN specifies.
A judicial investigation is underway to clarify this case and arrest any other suspects involved in these criminal acts.
