Turkish Auto Parts Maker Expands Morocco Plant, Creating 276 New Jobs

The Turkish group Martur Fompack, known internationally for the manufacture of automotive seats, will inaugurate the expansion of its plant in Tangier, on an additional area of 3,500 m².
The new investment will increase the number of jobs created from the current 724 to 1,000 in the long term, while the production capacity will reach 400,000 vehicle interior sets per year.
Located in the Tanger Automotive City free zone, Martur Fompack manufactures seats and components for the automotive industry (headrests, armrests, visors, seat structures, etc.), in particular for the Renault Tangier and Somaca plants.
The group employs 6,000 people spread across 25 sites around the world, and has more than 200 customers in over 40 countries, including Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen, Citroën, Audi, Lancia, Fiat and Maserati.
