Chinese Auto Supplier Xinchuang Expands to Morocco’s Tanger Med Zone

The activity of Tanger Med Zone is gaining momentum again. Three new companies from the automotive sector have just announced their installation.
First, the Chinese group, Xinchuang Intelligence, specialized in intelligent equipment, composite products and technical services, and installed on 5,500 m², according to L’Économiste. In total, 4.5 million euros have been invested and 106 jobs created.
Its objective is to supply intelligent industrial equipment as well as special equipment for automotive production for the local market and for export, in addition to the manufacture of textile machine molds.
The newspaper also announced the arrival on the industrial platform of the Turin industrialist FGI, specialized in the production of rubber and foam gaskets for the automotive industry. Attracted by the markets offered by the Moroccan automotive sector, FGI has set up on 800 m² with an investment of one million euros, resulting in the creation of 42 jobs.
Finally, Mondi, an international company specializing in the manufacture of innovative and sustainable packaging and paper solutions. Installed on an area of 26,000 m² in the Tangier Automotive City, it aims to create 100 jobs. In Tangier, its main customers will be tier 1 equipment manufacturers for the automotive sector in addition to Renault as well as other operators.
