Tunisian Woman Arrested at Casablanca Airport for Smuggling Chira

Systematic screening at airports continues to pay off. The significant amount of chira, seized from a Tunisian passenger on September 10 at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, is tangible proof of this.
It was when boarding a flight to Tunis that the Tunisian woman was arrested after a search that led to the seizure of 28 grams of chira in the form of 4 capsules hidden in her underwear.
After this discovery, the possibility that she was transporting more drugs in her intestines was considered. Thus, she was placed under medical supervision at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center in Casablanca in order to extract the capsules from her intestines.
This is how 147 more chira were discovered, bringing the total quantity of this prohibited product to 857 grams. According to the MAP, the Tunisian woman was taken into custody pending the completion of the investigation that will shed full light on this case.
