Brazilian Couple Arrested at Casablanca Airport for Cocaine Smuggling

A Brazilian couple aged 20 and 27 were arrested at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca on Thursday, September 19, for their alleged involvement in an international cocaine trafficking case, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
Arrested on board a flight from Sao Paulo (Brazil), the two suspects were searched. According to the Map, the initial searches on them revealed 210 grams of cocaine in the possession of the wife.
In addition, the scanner control operation revealed the existence of several capsules in the stomachs of the two suspects.
Immediately arrested, the accused were transferred to the Ibn Rochd University Hospital for the extraction of the swallowed capsules, pending the opening of a judicial investigation to determine all the criminal acts attributed to them.
This arrest of the Brazilian couple reveals the continuous efforts made by the DGSN services to fight against international drug and psychotropic trafficking, the same source reports.
