TUI Fly Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Casablanca After Bird Strike

A TUI Fly airline plane bound for Liège had to turn back less than an hour after taking off from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. No human or material damage was reported.
A TB2542 flight connecting Casablanca and Liège had to land less than an hour after takeoff on the evening of Thursday, June 9 at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca due to a bird strike, reports H24info. After the emergency landing, the Belgian low-cost airline sent a message to passengers: "Dear passenger, your flight is delayed due to a collision between the plane and a bird. We are doing our best to limit this delay. We will continue to keep you informed by SMS. Sincerely, TUI fly".
The plane had taken off as scheduled, at 7:20 pm local time from Casablanca, and was supposed to arrive at midnight in Liège. Passengers had to spend two and a half hours at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, during which "technical checks" were carried out before being invited to board the plane again. The aircraft landed in Liège around 2:35 am local time.
