Royal Air Maroc Dreamliner Makes Emergency Landing in Casablanca Due to Technical Issue

A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner bound for Casablanca to Istanbul had to turn back and make an emergency landing at Mohammed V airport from which it had taken off about 1 hour and 30 minutes earlier.
Royal Air Maroc flight AT910 returned to Mohammed V-Casablanca airport at 12:01 p.m., 1 hour and 30 minutes after takeoff at 10:30 a.m. on January 6. The pilot made the decision to turn back after the aircraft’s dashboard indicated a technical anomaly requiring, for its verification, a stop of the aircraft, reports Le360. After landing, the company chartered another plane for the passengers at 2 p.m.
In November, a plane from the same company making the trip between Casablanca and Valencia had difficulty landing before being diverted to Alicante. As the plane was arriving at its destination after the first two hours of the journey, the aircraft experienced enormous difficulties landing at Valencia airport due to the gusts of wind. The plane touched the runway with the front landing gear at least three times, with a certain bounce. After this succession of spectacular bounces, the pilot had to interrupt the landing.
The aircraft was finally diverted to Valencia airport, where it landed safely on its first attempt, a little more than three hours after its departure from Casablanca. The plane was back in Casablanca about eight hours after its initial departure from the airport. A relief for the passengers of flight AT968.
