Medical Emergency Forces Marrakech to Manchester Flight to Divert to Bilbao

A plane that took off from Marrakech and was en route to Manchester made an emergency landing on Tuesday at Loiu airport in Bilbao. A passenger had just fainted on board.
The command of the Civil Guard of the province of Biscay in Spain indicated that it had received a communication from the Aena coordination service on duty at Loiu, to assist in a medical emergency on a plane, which was making the Marrakech-Manchester route.
The traveler, who had lost consciousness during the flight, had forced the pilot to make an emergency landing, local sources reported, specifying that the individual was evacuated on a stretcher to be transferred by ambulance to the Cruces hospital.
At the same time, it is noted, the security services stationed on the spot initiated the humanitarian aid protocol for the benefit of the passenger and a preventive system against possible illegal immigration was put in place. Subsequently, the flight was able to continue to the British city.
