Truck Driver and Assistant Arrested in Casablanca with 10,500 Rivotril Tablets

A truck driver and his assistant were arrested on Friday in Casablanca. They are accused of being linked to a criminal network involved in drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The operation set up by the elements of the judicial police department of Casablanca in collaboration with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) made it possible to arrest the suspects, indicates the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
The two defendants, aged 36, were caught in flagrante delicto in possession and transport of 10,500 "Rivotril" type drug tablets. They were on board a large road transport truck, on the Had Soualem highway, near the town of Berrechid.
According to the DGSN, the accused were placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
