Tangier Police Bust Drug Ring: Three Arrested with Ecstasy, Rivotril Tablets

Elements of the prefectural service of the judicial police of Tangier arrested three individuals on Saturday morning. They are suspected of having links with a criminal network active in drug and psychotropic trafficking.
Two of the three individuals were arrested at the road control point in Gzenaya in Tangier, while they were in a light vehicle. The search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 2,272 psychotropic tablets, including 292 "Ecstasy" units and 1,980 "Rivotril" medical tablets. Three bladed weapons, four mobile phones and a sum of money were also seized, according to the DGSN in a press release relayed by La Map.
The third individual was also arrested on board a light vehicle, at the same control point. One of the suspects was wanted nationwide by the judicial police of Rabat. He would be involved in two cases of drug trafficking and assault with a bladed weapon.
Currently, the three suspects are in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
