Tragic Landslide in Morocco’s Al Haouz Region Claims 15 Lives, 4 Victims Laid to Rest

4 of the 15 victims of the Al Haouz landslide were buried on Friday, July 26, 2019, after the Al Asr prayer. These funerals took place in an atmosphere of sadness and painful separation for the families concerned.
The torrential rains recorded in recent days in the Touk Al Khair region (Asni circle) are at the origin of the burial of a van, under the effect of the mud flow and the accumulation of rocks and earth. This accident caused the death of 15 people, including 11 women, 3 men and 1 child. 4 of these victims were buried on Friday, July 26, in the "Douar Abdeslam" cemetery in Marrakech.
The families, relatives and friends, in an impressive procession, bid a painful farewell to these victims, taken from their affection too early. The 11 other bodies will be transferred on Saturday, July 27, to their native village, Taliouine, for their burial.
