Deadly Mudslide in Morocco’s Al Haouz Province Claims 15 Lives After Heavy Rains

Thanks to the rescue teams of the province of Al Haouz, the bodies of 15 occupants of a mixed transport vehicle were extracted during the night of Thursday, July 25 to Friday, July 26, 2019.

According to the local authorities of the province of Al Haouz, they were all on board a mixed transport vehicle, buried under the mud flow and piles of rocks and earth, at the level of the Douar de Touk Al Khair (Asni Circle), due to the torrential rains recorded in the region, reports the MAP.

As a result, this situation caused a major landslide and a landslide reaching nearly 20 meters in height, particularly between kilometers 226 and 233, on National Road No. 7.
