Tragic Discovery: 9-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Spanish Golf Course Pond

The lifeless body of a 9-year-old boy of Moroccan origin was found on Friday by the Mossos d’Esquadra and the firefighters of the Generalitat, on a raft of the Reial club de Golf El Prat de Terrassa (Barcelona).
The boy disappeared on Thursday while swimming with other children of the same age in the water reserve of the golf club. Informed of his disappearance, the firefighters of the Generalitat, the Mossos d’Esquadra and the emergency medical services (SEM) deployed a search device in the area to find him, reports Cronica Global.
The lifeless body of the Moroccan minor was finally found and recovered. The Catalan police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death, even if everything seems to indicate that it was an accident. Investigators will try to find out how the minors were able to access this water reservoir used to irrigate the golf course and which is nevertheless well protected.
The body of the minor was transferred to the Barcelona Institute of Forensic Medicine for the needs of the autopsy. His family has been informed of the sad news.
