Two Moroccan Bodies Discovered Near Melilla Border, Spanish Authorities Report

The Civil Guard found the lifeless bodies of two Moroccans on Sunday in Melilla, one floating in the sea and the other on a plot next to the border with Morocco.
The first body, floating in the sea, was discovered by a Melilla citizen who was fishing in the port area and alerted the Civil Guard, a spokesman for the government delegation said to Europa Press. Once on the scene, the agents found "that the lifeless body was trapped between the rocks in the area." With the help of the firefighters, they tried to free the body. Without success so far.
The second body was found on Sunday morning by National Police officers on a fenced plot behind the Valenzuela barracks. The person had apparently been dead "for about 20 days," according to the government delegation spokesman, who specified that "the body has not been identified and the cause of death is unknown. The facts are the subject of a judicial investigation."
