Tragic Death of 5-Year-Old Girl in Agadir Sparks Stray Dog Concerns

A five-year-old girl died after being bitten by stray dogs in the commune of Drarga, not far from Agadir. The city council has promised to take measures to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
Stray dogs are making headlines again. Missing since September 13 after leaving the family home, located in Ait Baha, a five-year-old girl with autism was found in critical condition in a neighborhood between the commune of Drarga and Oulad Dahou. She had been attacked by stray dogs. Taken to the Hassan II Regional Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries, in the presence of local authorities and elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
This tragedy has caused emotion and anger among the inhabitants of Agadir who have viewed the video circulated on social networks. For its part, the City Council of the city wants to contribute to preventing this type of tragedy. In this sense, it intends to create a center dedicated to the accommodation, sterilization and vaccination of stray dogs and cats, the same source said. However, 26 million dirhams will have to be released to implement this project.
