Stray Dog Attacks Surge in El Jadida, Morocco, Sparking Health Concerns

In El Jadida, residents live under the threat of being attacked by stray dogs in the streets and fear for their lives, safety and health. There are already many victims of dog bites.
A week before Eid, many residents rushed to health centers after being attacked by stray dogs. The Sidi Yahya center in El Jadida received about fifteen cases in the space of two weeks, reports the daily Assabah. A similar number was recorded in the other centers of the province. Some victims, on the other hand, preferred to treat their injuries at home using traditional methods. The targets of the stray dogs? Children and the elderly are their main victims.
A general psychosis now seems to be taking hold of the residents of El Jadida, who fear for their lives, safety and health. They dread that these stray dogs may be carriers of viruses or bacteria.
