Tragedy in Morocco: 2-Year-Old Dies After Falling into Deep Well Near Rabat

A new tragedy similar to that of Rayan has occurred in Morocco. A 2-year-old child died after falling into a well.
The accident occurred in Fkih Ben Salah, about 200 km south of Rabat. A two-year-old child, who had fallen into a narrow and deep well (40 centimeters in diameter and 40 meters deep), was found dead in the evening of August 25, reports Barlamane.com. It took long and complex search efforts due to the depth of the well, dug within the family home in the Ouled Haddach douar, and the mobilization of dozens of rescuers to find him. The child was extracted and immediately taken care of by an ambulance.
In Morocco, the painful memory of the accident of little Rayan, who died five days after falling into a 32-meter-deep dried-up well, remains vivid in people’s minds. His fate had moved the entire kingdom.
