Rescuers Race to Save 5-Year-Old Boy Trapped in Deep Moroccan Well

A 5-year-old boy fell on Tuesday into a 32-meter deep well in Imghrane (Rif). The cameras inserted at the bottom of the well indicate that he is still alive and the authorities are working to try to save him.
The child, named Rayan, fell into a dry and very narrow well, located near the family home. A young man from the neighborhood tried the same day to save the child, but got stuck in the well, given its narrowness.
Alerted, the authorities deployed on Wednesday the necessary means to save the child. A rescue team was quickly dispatched to the scene. The rescuers inserted a camera into the well to make sure the minor is still alive. Noting that Rayan is unconscious but still breathing, they lowered oxygen to keep him alive.
In the early afternoon, three bulldozers began digging a parallel hole to the well to save the child. When they reach the depth of the well (32 meters), they will dig horizontally until they find the child’s position in the well. The area is overrun with soldiers, police and civil protection agents, as well as many neighbors and curious onlookers.
