Tourist Pushes Hotel Server into Pool in Marrakech, Sparking Outrage

A video that went viral on social media shows a tourist apparently staying at a renowned hotel in Marrakech violently pushing a server holding a tray of glasses into the pool. A scene criticized by Internet users.
"A shame these tourists who think they can do anything in Morocco! Strict measures must be taken." This is the message accompanying this video shared by a Moroccan journalist on her Instagram account and which has recorded 1.3 million views in just a few days. The video shows a group of tourists by the pool of a hotel and one of them, unexpectedly, violently pushing a server from the establishment based in Marrakech, according to the comments.
While two other tourists help the server out of the water, another says, "You’re really a clown!" "Shameful." The embarrassed server didn’t know what to say or do. The tourist responsible for this odious act, without apologizing, just said it was "a joke". The hotel manager who came to inquire about the situation had no reaction of disapproval after the tourist told him: "You had given me free rein, assume it!" Words that suggest the act was premeditated and that the video was recorded to create a buzz on social media.
The video sparked the anger of Internet users. "The manager of the establishment has given free rein to this old influencer lacking in education and savoir-faire. He endorses the humiliation of an employee in this way!" criticizes an Internet user. "It’s shameful, they don’t respect anyone, they think they’re kings just because they have euros and they come to demean the workers," comments another. "That’s why tourism needs to be severely regulated. In Saudi Arabia, he would have seen what a prison looks like from the inside," writes another.
Commentators also demanded that the authorities impose an exemplary sanction on this hotel and called for negative reviews of the establishment on Google.
