Tourist Phone Thief Arrested in Marrakech After Swift Police Action

Elements of the 3rd police district of Marrakech, informed of a complaint concerning the theft of a mobile phone of which a foreign tourist was a victim in Arsat El Houta, reacted swiftly, said a security source.

The investigations at the crime scene made it possible to identify and arrest the suspect. The legal search carried out at his home with the collaboration of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office resulted in the seizure of the telephone, which was returned to its owner.

As for the suspect, he was placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation pending his appearance before the courts, the same source said.
