Tourists Robbed in Marrakech: Two Suspects Arrested for Major Currency Theft

While they were suspected of being the perpetrators of a recent theft against two Asian tourists, two individuals are now languishing in prison. They were arrested by the elements of the 3rd police district in Marrakech.
The two defendants were arrested after a judicial investigation conducted by the same police district, based on the complaint filed by the two Asian tourists. They reported the loss of a large sum of foreign currency that the defendants are said to have stolen from them, according to a police source quoted by the MAP. The source indicated that the investigations carried out as part of this theft made it possible to identify the two alleged thieves and to apprehend them in record time.
Later, under the authority of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, the police elements carried out a legal search of the defendants’ homes. This resulted in "the seizure of clothing in accordance with the description contained in the complaint filed by the two victims," reports the same source. And to add that the identification session confirmed everything. Thereupon, the two defendants were taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation before being brought before the courts.
