Three Brothers Arrested for Fatal Stabbing of Uncle in Moroccan Inheritance Dispute

In El Kelaâ des Sraghna, three brothers were arrested and placed in custody after stabbing their uncle to death. The homicide was caused by a dispute over the inheritance of a plot of land.
In the province of El Kelaâ des Sraghna, after several disputes over the inheritance of a plot of land, a father of four children received knife blows from his nephews and died on the spot, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. The alleged murderers immediately fled. Subsequently, the elements of the royal gendarmerie in El Kelaâ des Sraghna succeeded in arresting them.
The first accused was arrested while fleeing on board a grand taxi. The information provided by the authorities allowed the gendarmes to simultaneously arrest the two other accused. After their arrest, the elements of the royal gendarmerie opened a thorough investigation, supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office. For now, the accused, aged 26 to 31, have been placed in custody.
