Bank Heist in Morocco: 370,000 Dirhams Stolen from Settat Branch

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie are conducting an investigation to identify and apprehend the persons who stole 370,000 DH in cash from a bank branch in Ras El Ain Chaouia near Settat.
The theft took place on the morning of Monday, July 4th in a Barid Al-Maghrib (Poste Maroc) bank branch. Upon arriving at the service, the employees discovered that the alleged thieves had entered their workplace by digging a hole in one of its walls, according to the daily Al Akhbar. To carry out their coup, they took care to destroy a number of equipment within the establishment, including the metal safe and the surveillance cameras.
The employees informed the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie. Shortly afterwards, they were joined by a team of specialized crime scene technicians with trained dogs to begin their investigation.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the thieves arrived at the bank branch by car. Upon arrival, they broke into the establishment by digging through the walls. Once inside, they broke into a metal safe containing 370,000 DH. The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie are continuing their investigations in order to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this theft.
