Suspect Arrested in Essaouira Wedding Procession Crash After Taunting Authorities

The elements of the National Security of Marrakech in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie succeeded in arresting in Safi the son of the owner of a private clinic who had rammed a car on the wedding procession in Essaouira at the beginning of February before fleeing.
The arrest of the accused follows his appearance in several videos. In these videos, he taunted the authorities who had not been able to arrest him until then. Enough to provoke the anger of the security services of the province. The elements of the Brigade for the Fight against Criminal Gangs of the Judicial Police of Marrakech in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie mobilized and were able to arrest him on June 2 in the company of two individuals.
The preliminary investigation reveals that these two individuals had been hiding the main accused since the crime committed in early February. The public prosecutor’s office decided to prosecute them for "non-denunciation".
