The elements of the royal gendarmerie in Témara managed to arrest a maid and three jewelers for their involvement in the theft of jewelry estimated at 200,000 DH belonging to the wife of a former wali.

It all started with a complaint for theft of jewelry filed by a former wali. Jewelry belonging to the complainant’s wife and whose market value is estimated at 200,000 DH. The elements of the royal gendarmerie in Témara questioned three housekeepers suspected of having stolen the jewelry. One of them, a 26-year-old woman, confessed. She admitted to having sold a large quantity of gold between 2021 and 2022 to various jewelers in the region, reports Al Akhbar.

Assisted by the young woman, the investigators were able to arrest three other suspects, all jewelers in Rabat, Salé and Témara, and then placed them in custody. Several stolen jewels were recovered.
