Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of the Beni Yakhlef region, under the prefecture of Mohammedia, succeeded in arresting two burglars of a villa belonging to an MRE family, on vacation in Morocco.
Their arrest follows the complaint filed by this family residing in Norway with the gendarmerie, reports Aujourd’hui le Maroc. The members of this family explained that after going shopping and returning home, they found the villa in disarray and that gold jewelry worth 150,000 dirhams had disappeared.
According to the preliminary investigation carried out from the footage of the surveillance camera that filmed the scene, the two suspects climbed over the villa’s wall before leaving half an hour later.
The accused were identified and arrested, then brought before the public prosecutor’s office near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca, which placed them in pre-trial detention.
