Thousands March Across Morocco in Support of Gaza, Demanding Ceasefire

Several thousand people demonstrated on Sunday in several cities of the kingdom in solidarity with Palestine. The protesters condemn the silence of the international community and call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The mobilization to support the Palestinian cause and the people of Gaza continues. At the call of civil society, demonstrations took place on Sunday in several Moroccan cities including Tetouan, Casablanca (north) and Agadir (center) and Rabat. In unison, the protesters call for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. They also demand the end of Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the blockade and the entry of humanitarian aid. They also condemn the silence of the international community.
After the launch by the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas and other Palestinian factions of "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" from Gaza on October 7 in response to the "incessant attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, their property and their holy sites, in particular the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied part of East Jerusalem," Israel launched "Operation Sword of Iron." Since then, the Israeli army has continued its ground offensive in Gaza, advancing step by step, with the aim of annihilating Hamas.
According to the Israeli government, more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel since October 7. In total, 9,488 people have been killed in Gaza since the same date, according to Hamas. The many calls for a ceasefire fall on deaf ears. "There will be no ceasefire without the return of our hostages (240, editor’s note), we say this both to our enemies and to our friends," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said before the squadrons of the Ramon air base, again rejecting the idea of a ceasefire.
