Things Are Getting Complicated for Jonathan Harroch (City Club)
Facing allegations of sexual abuse and violence against his employees, City Club boss Jonathan Harroch firmly proclaimed his innocence on Tuesday before the courts in Casablanca. The hearing was postponed to May 12.
Before the criminal chamber of first instance of the Casablanca Court of Appeal, magistrates confronted the businessman with damning statements. These documents are based on the analysis of videos and posts from social media, including a transcript of an Instagram live stream. An influencer relayed numerous testimonies from internet users denouncing threats and a system of sexual exploitation. According to these statements, the executive allegedly abused his employees under duress: if they refused, they would find themselves "without pay" and "fired." The video also points to the non-payment of cleaning and private security staff.

The evidence presented at the hearing describes a highly organized modus operandi, where the marital status of alleged victims would be irrelevant. The file highlights the role of a third party in this scheme: "Those he likes are taken care of by an intermediary who books them a hotel, after which the boss comes to join them." The testimonies also mention the abandonment of victims after broken promises, while some accusers claim that "men and women go with him."

Before the court, the owner of the sports club network categorically denied all these allegations, calling them completely unfounded. When questioned about the massive receipt of sexually explicit photos on his phone, he justified it by the public accessibility of his number, linked to the management of his establishments and restaurants. Claiming to receive over 800 messages a day on WhatsApp or Tinder, he assured that these images came from prostitutes he does not know and who acted without any solicitation on his part. The examination of the case is suspended until May 12 to summon witnesses and civil parties.
