New Plaintiffs Added in Case Against City Club Owner Jonathan Harroch

The case of Jonathan Harroch, owner of the "City Club" sports club chain, is taking a new turn. The investigating judge of the Casablanca Court of Appeal has added three new plaintiffs to the file, bringing the total number to five. This decision follows the request of the public prosecutor’s representative during the hearing that took place on Monday.
Initially arrested for issuing several million dirhams worth of bounced checks, Jonathan Harroch had been apprehended in possession of 2.5 grams of cocaine in the company of two young women in a Casablanca hotel. These two women were to be heard at Monday’s hearing, as was a City Club employee who accuses Harroch of physical violence.

The case has taken an unexpected turn with the addition of these new plaintiffs. During the first hearing, three women had already accused the City Club boss of sexual harassment. "This is a settling of scores," Harroch had then declared, denying the facts he is accused of.
With these new accusations, the case now goes beyond the simple financial framework. Suspicions of human trafficking now hang over the owner of the sports club chain.
