Tangier Police Arrest Three in Jewelry Store Heist, Recover Stolen Gold

The judicial police of Tangier, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), have arrested three individuals for their alleged involvement in the burglary of a jewelry store.
Aged between 29 and 46, the accused accessed the premises by drilling a hole in the wall of a building adjacent to the store located in the Beni Makada area, before taking away a significant quantity of jewelry.
The investigation conducted by the judicial police of Tangier led to the identification of the main suspect who was apprehended while returning from Casablanca, in possession of a large sum of money from the sale of the stolen jewelry.
The search carried out in an apartment used by the suspect led to the seizure of part of the stolen items, worth ten kilos of gold. Investigators also managed to apprehend two of his accomplices, including the owner of the vehicle used to commit this theft.
The three thieves have been placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigation is ongoing to shed light on this theft.
