Daring Heist in Tangier: 9 Kilos of Gold Stolen from Jewelry Store During Prayer Time
A significant security operation was deployed in the Haddad district of Tangier after a jewelry store was targeted by an organized gang in a burglary. The operation took place during prayer time.
According to available information, the targeted store was burglarized after the perpetrators forced entry into an adjacent commercial property. They then reportedly dug a substantial opening in the wall separating the two shops to access the jewelry store. This method has been described by some as "Hollywood-like."
The individuals involved allegedly managed to steal an estimated quantity of gold of about 9 kilograms before fleeing.
Police services immediately invested the scene and an investigation is underway, conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigations aim to clarify the exact circumstances of this theft, to identify all persons involved, and to proceed with their arrest.
