Two Arrested for Desecrating Mosque in Tifelt, Morocco While Intoxicated
Police officers arrested two individuals who desecrated a mosque located in Tifelt.
A video showing the desecration of a mosque by two individuals in Tifelt and their exchange of violence was published on social media. After viewing this video, elements of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) conducted investigations. It appears that this is a criminal case already handled by the regional police station of the city of Tifelt, on April 9, 2025, following the receipt of a notice concerning two individuals in a state of intoxication. They violated the sacredness of a mosque in the Saâda neighborhood of the same city and engaged in mutual violence. Police officers immediately intervened and managed to arrest them shortly after the commission of these criminal acts.
After their arrest, the two suspects were placed in custody as part of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate all the circumstances and details of this case. They were then presented to the justice system, which decided to prosecute them in detention.
