Violent Nightclub Brawl in Marrakech Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

Involved in a violent fight that occurred in a renowned nightclub in Marrakech, two individuals of Moroccan and Algerian origin, as well as a young woman and managers of the establishment, were presented before the King’s prosecutor at the court of first instance of the city.
It all started with an argument between a group of nightclub patrons. Subsequently, one of them filed a complaint with the police services, accusing the others of threatening him and shooting at him with a firearm. At the conclusion of the investigation conducted by the Marrakech judicial police, the public prosecutor decided to prosecute the Algerian citizen J.H. for international drug trafficking, threats, and assault and battery.
The Moroccan N.A. is being prosecuted for international drug trafficking, violence, assault and battery, and debauchery. The prosecutor ordered his placement in pre-trial detention at the Loudaya prison in Marrakech. A young woman was also prosecuted while remaining free for debauchery. As for the nightclub employees, they were prosecuted while remaining free for serving alcohol to Muslims.
